The Internet...The Last Frontier
I'll be honest, I am a true bibliophile. And when I say that, I don't just mean I like to read, I mean - I like the feel of books; I like the smell of books; I like the weight of books. Because I am such a big reader, a friend gave me one of the first editions of Kindle - thinking I would love it. I did not. Reading from a small screen, in no way compares to the joy I feel in holding a book in my hand and turning the pages. That being said, there is something to be said, for the wealth of information that can be found on-line. Yes, I like books, but I do not want to spend hours searching through the stacks at the library for the same information that can easily be obtained while sitting in my pjs on my computer. This is especially true in the world of college searches and applications. There is so much information out there, and with so much of it being ever-changing, it is almost out of date before it is even published. This is why using on-line resources iis so invaluable. Don't worry, you will be spending plenty of time with you nose in a book once you get to college. Take the short cut and utilyze all the the on-line resources you can now!
